Impaired spectacles of justice

This reminder of a film was made to symbolize the unchanging society’s dirty ways and stance, how the political faces control the outcome of every situation in the society. The ugly truth is that the film directly reflects the reality of what we are facing today, being under a corrupt and dirty government. The film was also a tale of a brave cavalier of truth “Jake” which represents the very few people that are willing to risk everything for the sake of salvaging what’s left of the society. The film was irritating from start to finish, not from my seatmates at the theatre but from the inability of the people of today to shatter the shackles that hold us back.

The movie was inspiring in a sense that it wakes up the people that anyone can be a beacon of light for the ones in darkness, that anyone has the power to trigger the public and sound the alarm for advancement towards war with the iniquities of our leaders.

We alone cannot change our society, but we can start anuprising just like Jake did with his writins, that will grant ways for the nextpeople that will follow our path. This newly paved path will be used bygenerations that will come. That ladies and gentlemen is the power of the pen.

This film honestly tapped into my interest of film making while also awakening an urge for me to read some more history books, I never viewed myself as someone who’d show interest in history (because honestly, I’m a history subject flunky during highschool) and it quite pleased me, because I never knew a film had the power to encourage it’s viewers to indulge in something that they have little to no idea that they’d consider.

The movie showcased exemplary skills in story telling and cinematography as well as in editing, the film was so immersive that I completely submerged myself in that time, I felt bad for Gregorio’s “unexpected” death and I felt really sore about the Philippines’ loss despite already knowing what the result was going to be. It was so well-made and I truly commend this movie for not only dishing out a top class film but also for imparting the knowledge about that point in history which strengthened in a way the patriotism of some Filipinos. This shows the power of media in communicating and telling stories and histories and how it connects with the audience it is shown to.

“Kung paano hinihintay ang… KASUNOD NA GANITONG PELIKULA!”

The Film “Kung paano hinihintay ang dapithapon is an exemplary movie that not only paved a way for a modified approach in making films but also broke the hearts of many watchers in the process. Such a wonderful film deserves to be recommended to others, birthing this blog post so go ahead and watch the film because, SPOILER ALERT some secrets of the films will be revealed.

Done watching? OKAY, LET’S GO!

First, let’s talk about the story. The movie’s story follows the life of Teresa who had a husband the she left Bene for her new romance Celso. They are all in their latter years so that’s what made it stand out from the other romcom tragedy films, it was so heartwarming to see their reconciliations and closure. Honestly speaking, the film made me cry, it wrecked my heart because I still had regrets and fresh wounds from my father’s passing on February, this film dropped “calamansi juice” into that wound and hurt me pretty badly. I had this pleasing sense of pain, that let me realize how much I love my father and also made me realize that every minute we had each other was every minute that caused him happiness. This post may be emotionally driven, but I’m not lying when I say that THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE I’VE EVER WATCHED. EVER. So go watch it right now!

This movie truly touched the lives of many, showing the potential of film as a medium/conveyor of a message that can be really effective if utilized in the right way. Development also comes in different forms and the simple revelations that this film may have caused, can be an enough change or improvement in one’s life that can be considered as a development.

Bonus: straight from the Diretor’s mouth. There are some scenes that we should watch out for because they are so elusive that you won’t even notice it. Take note of the different kinds of water, camera movements, the audio, and the bath scenes because there are hidden notes there that might tickle your curiousity.
